Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required to consent to personal-data processing where you live. If you are not legally able to enter this agreement on your own, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf where permitted by law. Provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share or sell an account. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.

Market information, not investment advice

Breakpoint is an informational and educational service, not a brokerage, investment adviser, or trading platform. We do not execute trades, manage investments, provide personalized investment recommendations, or recommend that you buy, sell, or hold a security. Using the service does not create an investment-advisory or fiduciary relationship.

Investing involves risk, including loss of principal. Data can be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. Daily-close prices are not live quotes. Historical performance, comparisons, and unusual-move indicators do not predict future performance. Independently verify information and consult a qualified professional when appropriate before making financial decisions.

AI explanations and third-party sources

Some explanations use artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omit important context, or describe possible explanations rather than proven causes. Read timestamps, caveats, and linked sources. No explanation establishes why a price moved. We do not control third-party sites, and a link does not imply endorsement. Content and data availability can change because of provider coverage, licensing, outages, or corrections.

Monthly membership

Breakpoint requires a subscription for member features. The advertised U.S. price is $9.99 per month. The actual localized price, currency, billing period, taxes, and any offer displayed in your store’s purchase confirmation govern your purchase. Review these details before agreeing to pay. We do not promise a free trial unless one is expressly offered at checkout.

Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm a mobile purchase. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal deadline shown by your store. For Apple subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid renewal; renewal charges may occur within 24 hours before the period ends. Your store will disclose price changes and obtain any consent it requires.

Cancellation, restoration, and refunds

Use Account → Manage subscription in the app, or manage subscriptions directly through Apple or Google Play using the links below. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the paid period. Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Use Restore purchases on the subscription screen to recover eligible purchases, and sign in to the correct Breakpoint and store accounts.

Refunds are handled by the store where you purchased, subject to its policies and applicable consumer law. Contact us for help with an existing web subscription or an access problem. These terms do not limit a refund or other remedy you are entitled to by law.

Permitted use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while you comply with these terms and subscription requirements. Do not resell or redistribute market data, scrape in bulk, bypass access controls or purchase validation, interfere with security, impersonate someone, or use the service unlawfully. These restrictions do not prevent activity expressly allowed by applicable law.

Breakpoint and its licensors retain rights in the software, branding, and supplied content. You retain rights in information you provide and allow us to process it as needed to operate the service and as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and beta testing

We may improve, replace, or discontinue features and correct errors. Beta builds may be unstable, expire, or require updates. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, a particular data source, or a particular result. If a material change affects an active paid subscription, contact us about applicable remedies. Updates may install when the app starts or returns to use.

Closing or suspending an account

You can delete your account in Account → Delete account without purchasing a subscription. Deletion permanently removes your profile and watchlist and ends account access; cancel store billing separately. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security risks, unlawful activity, or a material breach of these terms. Contact us if you believe a restriction is mistaken. Legal payment obligations and provisions intended to survive termination remain applicable.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. You are responsible for your financial decisions. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service or reliance on its market information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees or liability for fraud or willful misconduct.

App-store terms

Use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, linked below. Apple’s agreement governs the licensed iOS application where it applies; these terms describe our service and subscription. Google Play’s applicable terms also apply to Android distribution and purchases. Apple and Google are not the providers of Breakpoint’s market explanations or account support.

Changes and contact

We may revise these terms as the service changes, update the effective date, and provide notice or obtain agreement for material changes where required. Changes do not remove rights you already have under applicable law. If you disagree with a material change, you may stop using the service and cancel renewal.
